Organize the board
The board starts with protected Drafts and Archive columns. Add your own columns for stages such as review, approved, or ready to schedule.- Choose Add task in a column to create a draft there.
- Drag a card to another column or reorder it inside its current column.
- Drag custom columns to reorder the board.
- Use a custom column’s menu to rename or delete it.
- Deleting a custom column moves its cards to Archive. The Drafts and Archive columns cannot be deleted.
- Open a card to edit, delete, or move it into Write.
Create a draft manually
1
Add a task
Choose Add task in the column where the draft should begin, or open an existing card to revise it.
2
Choose destinations and a column
Select the connected accounts the draft is intended for, then confirm its board column. Destination selection lets Plan apply the relevant character and media rules.
3
Write and add media
Enter the main draft. Add supported media, a GIF, or saved hashtag groups when needed. Reorder media before saving. When several destinations are selected, the counter uses the most restrictive applicable character limit. Resolve blocking copy or media errors before continuing.
4
Save the draft
Choose Create draft for a new card or Update draft for an existing one. If you edit an existing card and then choose Open in Write, save those changes first.
Plan with AI
Open the floating Plan AI button to turn a goal, topic, or rough direction into reviewable planning material.1
Start with a generated or custom request
Generate for me starts with three ideas. For a custom request, describe exactly what you want in the prompt box. You can name the topic, audience, format, and destinations and request 1 to 10 ideas or 1 to 5 finished posts. If the output type, count, topic, or destination is unclear, Plan AI asks the next necessary question. Choose an option or answer in your own words before generation continues.
2
Review the workload
When confirmation is needed, Plan AI shows the requested number of ideas or finished posts, destination count, research requirement, and thread format. Confirm the selected model and choose Continue, or choose Not now to revise the request.A finished-post request for several destinations creates separate final versions, so destination count affects that workload. Idea-only requests do not create destination versions at this stage.
3
Wait for the results
Plan AI can research current context, generate the requested content, and apply available writing context. You can stop an active run; existing results remain available for review.
4
Review every result
Use the compact result previews to move between items. Open the expanded review to read the full text, switch between destination versions, edit final copy, inspect available source details, and save changes.Retry one failed destination or the whole result when offered. A stale, source-changed, unverified, or failed result must be resolved before it can enter the board.
5
Choose what enters Plan
Choose + Add to Plan for a finished result. For an idea, choose Draft idea, select one or more destinations, and choose how many finished posts to create before reviewing the new drafts.Plan AI never adds results automatically. The footer reminder—Nothing is added until you choose +—is the acceptance boundary.
Understand AI result states
Plan AI also offers Regenerate, Expand, Copy, and Delete for the active result. Like or dislike controls let you record feedback on finished results; they do not add the content to the board.
Move a Plan draft into Write
Each accepted AI result creates one durable card in the board’s Drafts column. If a finished result includes several reviewed destination versions, opening it in Write preserves those versions as protected Custom drafts. To continue toward publishing:- Open the card and confirm its main text, media, destinations, and column.
- Save any changes.
- Choose Open in Write.
- In Write, review preserved Custom versions again and customize or adapt only destinations still using Main. Send or schedule only when each destination is ready.
Plan discovers and develops what to say. Write controls the final network versions and delivery. Moving a draft into Write does not publish it.
History and recovery
- Open History in Plan AI to revisit recent sessions stored on the current device.
- Choose New (+) when you want a clean request without deleting accepted board cards.
- If research or generation fails, keep any completed results and use the available retry action.
- Accepted results persist as Plan cards even after you leave the AI session.
- If a result is marked stale, changed, unverified, or failed, resolve that state in Plan AI instead of trying to add it unchanged.
Counts, destinations, and AI usage
Plan AI distinguishes between ideas, finished posts, and destination versions. A request can contain 1 to 10 ideas or 1 to 5 finished posts. A finished post for three destinations can produce three final versions, while a finished-post request without destinations produces a Main draft only. Idea-only requests do not create destination versions until you choose Draft idea and request finished posts. Idea generation does not reserve AI credits. Plan V2 measures finished-post workload as final versions: finished posts multiplied by selected destinations, with a Main-only post counting once. Finished-post generation does not have a published V2 credit rate. If Omni Writes presents a quote for a specific request, review that confirmation before provider work; evaluation and bounded repair remain within that same operation. See Billing and AI credits for model rates and AI-credit action rules.Write and publish
