Omni Writes supports X, Threads, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook for publishing and scheduling. The Replies inbox supports X, Threads, Facebook, and Instagram. LinkedIn replies are not currently available. X appears only when its add-on is active and the X account is connected.
Why can an account look connected but still fail to publish?
“Connected” means Omni Writes has a saved authorization. The social network still checks that authorization, its permissions, the account’s standing, and the content again when you publish.Access can stop working after a password or security change, an admin or Page-role change, a revoked app permission, or an expired token. Open Profile → Connected Accounts, choose Manage or Connect for the affected destination, and complete authorization again.
What type of Facebook or Instagram account do I need?
For Facebook, connect a Facebook Page that your Facebook account can manage. Personal Facebook profiles are not publishing destinations. For Instagram, use a Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page. A personal Instagram account, or a professional account without the required Facebook linkage and permissions, cannot be connected for publishing.
Why does X show a 280-character limit?
The X limit shown in Omni Writes depends on the subscription information returned for the connected X account. Open Profile → Connected Accounts → X → Manage, refresh the tier, and confirm that you connected the intended X profile.Publishing to X also requires the Omni Writes X add-on. If X says Reconnect required, reconnect before retrying the post.
What happens to scheduled posts if I disconnect an account?
Disconnecting a network cancels its queued Omni Writes posts for that connection. Posts that already published remain on the social network.Review Calendar before disconnecting, especially if the connection has upcoming posts.
Yes. Select multiple destinations in Write. Omni Writes validates and sends each destination separately, so the final result can be a mix of successes and failures. When the networks need different wording or formatting, use the destination-specific versions before publishing.
Why did one destination publish while another failed?
Each network applies its own authorization, text, media, and API rules. A successful destination is not rolled back when another destination fails.Read the outcome for each destination, confirm the successful post on that network, correct the failed destination, and retry only the failed item. Re-sending everything can create duplicates.
How are media rules applied when I select multiple networks?
The composer applies the strictest compatible rules across the selected destinations. If any selected network disallows mixing images and video, the shared post cannot mix them. Image counts, video counts, file size, duration, aspect ratio, and format can also differ by destination. For example, X and LinkedIn do not allow images and video in the same shared post, while other destinations may. See the individual channel guides before changing or re-encoding media.
Can I schedule while a large video is still processing?
Uploading and preparation are separate. Write waits for the browser upload to finish before it accepts the schedule, so keep the page open while the file itself is still uploading. After the schedule is confirmed, server-side preparation can continue and the item may remain in Preparing media. Follow it in Calendar and do not create another copy while it is still preparing.
Why can't I publish a text-only Instagram post?
Instagram publishing requires media. Add a supported image or video, then validate it against Instagram’s format, size, duration, aspect-ratio, and account requirements.
Does Scheduled mean the post has already published?
No. Scheduled or Ready means Omni Writes has accepted the item for later delivery. The social network makes the final decision when the scheduled time arrives.Check Calendar for the current status: Preparing media, Ready, Publishing, Delayed, Published, Preparation failed, Publish failed, or Cancelled.
Why is the published time a few minutes later than the time I selected?
If Smart Timing is enabled, Omni Writes intentionally shifts the scheduled time forward by 1–3 minutes. Disable Smart Timing when the exact minute matters.
Can I edit, cancel, or retry a scheduled post?
Queued and failed items can expose actions such as Edit, Reschedule, Retry, Refresh status, Publish now, or Cancel, depending on their current state.Open the item in Calendar and use the action shown there. A preparation failure and a final publish failure need different recovery steps, so use the state-specific action instead of creating a duplicate.
Can Omni Writes edit or delete a post after it publishes?
Treat Published as final in Omni Writes. To change or remove a published post, use the social network’s own app or website. Cancelling or disconnecting in Omni Writes does not remove content that already published.
Replies currently supports X, Threads, Facebook, and Instagram. LinkedIn does not appear in the Replies inbox. X appears only when its add-on is active and the X account is connected.Use the account filters to choose which connected profiles are included.
Why are replies missing?
First select the expected accounts, choose Refresh Feed, and check Show Dismissed. If Omni Writes reports that some replies may be missing, reconnect the affected account and refresh again.A blank state can also mean there are no recent replies for the selected accounts; it does not always indicate an error.
Are AI credits charged when an AI request fails?
Credit-backed AI operations reserve the required credits before work begins. A technical failure, invalid output, or an operation that produces no material change is refunded instead of being charged. A usable delivered result settles the quoted charge.Replies uses a more specific contract: suggestion previews are free, inserting a suggestion costs 1 credit, Improve with AI costs 1 credit when it produces a changed usable result, and Send is free.Current plan and usage information is available under Profile → Billing.
Does automatic thread splitting use AI credits?
No. Auto-split for X and Threads is a deterministic formatting operation. It runs through Omni Writes but does not call an AI model and does not use AI credits. AI-powered rewriting, improving, or generating is separate and can use credits.
What happens if an Omni Intelligence build or update fails?
Use Retry now. Your previously accepted Omni Intelligence report remains safe. If the error says your samples changed during the update, review or manage those samples before retrying; the previous report remains unchanged.During initial sample labeling or fingerprinting, follow the on-screen Keep this page open while Omni works instruction. Once an update build is running, your current accepted Intelligence remains active and you can keep writing while the new report builds.
