Use Instagram in Omni Writes for Business/Creator publishing: captions, single media, carousels, Reels, Calendar scheduling, and comments in Replies.
This page covers Instagram behavior and media limits in Omni Writes—not plan or billing limits. Instagram Direct Login uses Instagram Graph APIs (graph.instagram.com).

Text and media limits

Image details

  • Feed images must be JPEG.
  • Aspect ratio outside 0.8–1.91 is letterboxed during media prep so Graph publishing can accept the file.
  • Width between 320 and 1440 pixels is preferred.

Video details

  • Reels use the 300 MB / 3–900 second product envelope.
  • Carousel video items use the stricter 100 MB / 60 second product caps.
  • Keep scheduled media URLs publicly reachable until publish completes.

Replies on Instagram

With Instagram connected, Replies loads comments (including nested follow-ups when available) so you can respond in Omni Writes. If comments fail with a permission error, reconnect Instagram and approve comment scopes.

Common problems

  • Media could not be fetched: Keep the scheduled URL public until publish completes; re-upload and retry.
  • Carousel failed: Confirm 2–10 items and that every child is ready.
  • Wrong image format: Convert feed images to JPEG.
  • Aspect rejected: Prefer 4:5–1.91:1; Omni Writes letterboxes when needed.
  • Missing usernames: Reconnect with current comment permissions.
  • Authorization expired: Reconnect from Channels, then retry from Calendar.
