# Facebook

> Connect Facebook Pages and understand text, photo, multi-photo, video, GIF, Page-access, and publishing limits.

Use Facebook in Omni Writes for **Page** publishing: text, photos, video, Calendar scheduling, and Page comments in Replies. Personal profile posting is not supported.

## Connect Facebook

    Go to **Settings → Channels**.

    Choose **Facebook**, complete Meta OAuth, and approve Page management and engagement permissions.

    Connect the Page you want to publish to. Business Manager–only Pages may appear with limited access until permissions are complete.

    Verify the Page name appears as connected.

## Publish a Page post

Select Facebook and the target Page, write the post, attach photos or one video, and choose **Publish now** or a schedule time. Adding media raises the text ceiling from 420 to 10,000 characters.

  Omni Writes does **not** treat GIF as Facebook video. An animated GIF follows the photo path so motion is preserved when Facebook accepts it as a photo.

## Replies on Facebook

With a Page connected and engagement scopes granted, **Replies** loads Page comments so you can respond in Omni Writes. If author names or comments are missing, reconnect Facebook and approve comment-related permissions (`pages_read_engagement`, `pages_manage_engagement`, and related scopes).

## Common problems

* **Comments missing:** Reconnect with engagement permissions; some scopes require App Review.
* **Page not listed:** Confirm you manage the Page personally or through Business Manager with the right roles.
* **Media failed:** Re-upload under product size limits (images/GIFs ≤10 MB; video ≤100 MB) and retry.
* **Authorization expired:** Reconnect from Channels, then retry from Calendar.
